Your account is always on a plan. New accounts start on Free. Paid plans (Professional and Business) are self-serve through Stripe Checkout, with a 21-day free trial that needs no card. Enterprise is set up by talking to sales. Everything billing-related lives under Admin > Billing, and only account owners and admins can open it.

Plans at a glance

Every plan includes unlimited links, QR codes, and click tracking. Higher tiers raise resource limits and unlock team governance features. Pricing is base price plus per-seat: the base price covers an included number of users, and you pay a per-seat price for each active member beyond that allowance.

Prices are in USD. Annual billing is the better value, and the pricing page shows the percentage you save by paying yearly. Enterprise is shown on the pricing page but is not purchasable in-app: the button routes you to sales@terminusapp.com.

How seats are billed

A seat is an active member of your account. Suspended and removed members do not count.
  • Each paid plan includes some users in the base price (see the table above).
  • Billable seats are the active members beyond the included allowance. With one included seat, a five-member account bills four extra seats.
  • Seat count is kept in sync automatically. When you invite, suspend, or remove a member, your subscription quantity and your Stripe seat line update on their own.
See team members for how to invite, suspend, and remove people.

Start a free trial or upgrade

1

Open the pricing page

Go to Admin > Billing. You see the plan cards and a full feature comparison. Use the monthly/yearly toggle to switch interval.
2

Choose a plan

Pick Professional or Business. You are sent to Stripe Checkout to confirm.
3

Confirm in Stripe Checkout

Paid plans start with a 21-day free trial, no card required. You can add a card during checkout or skip it for now.
4

Return to billing settings

After checkout you land back on Admin > Billing settings, where your new plan, seat count, and renewal date are shown.
If the 21-day trial ends without a payment method on file, the subscription reverts to Free. Add a card before the trial ends to keep a paid plan.

Change, cancel, or resume your plan

These controls are on the Admin > Billing settings page and are owner/admin only.
Use Change plan to move to another paid plan in any direction, including switching between monthly and annual. The change applies immediately and is prorated. If you downgrade to a plan whose limits are below your current usage (for example, more workspaces than the lower plan allows), the change is blocked until you reduce usage to fit.
Use Cancel to end the subscription at the end of the current billing period. You keep paid access until that date, then the account returns to Free. A pending cancellation shows a notice on the settings page until it takes effect.
If a cancellation is pending, use Resume on the same notice to reverse it before the period ends and stay on your current plan.

Payment methods and invoices

Use Manage billing on the settings page to open the Stripe billing portal. The portal is where you:
  • Update or replace your payment method.
  • View and download past invoices.
There is no in-app invoice list: invoices live only in the Stripe portal. If you have not chosen a paid plan yet, the portal is not available, so pick a plan first.

What plans gate

Most of the product works on every plan, including all field types. A few capabilities and limits depend on your tier:
  • Approval workflows. Sending submissions for review, and turning on “review required” for a workspace, require Business or higher. See review and approve submissions.
  • Single sign-on (SSO and SAML). Setting up an SSO connection requires Enterprise.
  • Workspaces. The free plan allows one workspace. Creating a second one prompts you to upgrade.
  • Custom domains. The free plan allows one custom domain. Adding a second one prompts you to upgrade.
When you hit a limit, you see a Plan limit reached message with a Choose a plan link to the pricing page.

Invoiced accounts

Some accounts are billed by invoice rather than through self-serve checkout. On an invoiced account:
  • The pricing page and the change, cancel, and manage controls are hidden.
  • The settings page shows a Billed by invoice notice and a seat-usage meter (seats used out of your contracted seats).
  • Plan and seat changes are handled by your account team, not in-app. To change anything, contact your account manager.

Gotchas

  • Owner and admin only. Billing pages are visible only to account owners and admins. Regular members do not see them.
  • Free is the floor. Every account always has at least the Free plan. Canceling or letting a trial lapse returns you to Free, not to no plan.
  • Downgrade blocks need a manual fix. A downgrade that exceeds the target plan’s limits is blocked. Reduce the over-limit resource (for example, delete extra workspaces) and try again.
  • Paid-tier limits are soft today. The workspace and custom-domain caps are enforced as hard blocks on the Free plan only. On paid plans they are shown as allowances but not enforced as hard stops yet.
  • Click history values are targets. The per-plan click-history numbers describe the retention each tier is intended to provide. Automatic deletion of old clicks is not in place yet, so do not rely on these as a guaranteed purge window.
  • Trial without a card reverts to Free. A 21-day trial that ends with no payment method on file is canceled back to Free automatically.
